Wolverine Human Services is looking for a Director of Facilities to managing maintenance activities for our residential facilities. They would be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of maintenance processes and procedures, as well as experience in HVAC, Electrical, and or Plumbing

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Planning: Develop maintenance schedules, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively. Regularly facilities to identify maintenance needs and develop preventive maintenance plans.
Certification Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities meet industry and regulatory certification requirements, adhering to all relevant standards.
Budget Management: Assist in the development of maintenance budgets and monitor spending to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment histories, and maintenance schedules. Prepare reports as needed.
Inventory Management: Manage and monitor inventory to support timely maintenance activities.
Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external suppliers and contractors to obtain necessary parts and services.
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures, conducting safety training, and participating in safety audits.
Problem Solving: Address unexpected maintenance issues and emergencies promptly and efficiently.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
Certification Maintenance: Stay updated with the latest maintenance technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices.
Position involves overseeing and completing maintenance requirements at youth residential facilities in Detroit MI and Vassar MI. Weekly travel to Vassar MI facility required. Wolverine will provide an agency vehicle when travel is required.

Qualifications:

Certification: Must possess a relevant certification, such as .

· Experience: Prior experience in maintenance coordination or management is highly desirable. Must possess experience in HVAC, Electrical, and/or Plumbing·

Technical Knowledge: Proficiency and understanding of maintenance processes, and knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with co-workers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address maintenance challenges.
Organizational Skills: Effective time management and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires physical tasks, such as walking, standing, and lifting, and completing maintenance activities.
