General Summary: Responsible for assisting the Branch Manager in the effective and profitable management of the branch. Works with Manager and Regional Manager to establish sales, profitability, staffing, inventory, and other goals. Assist in hiring, developing, and training personnel. Familiarization with all company procedures, including but not limited to inventory management, cash management asset management, personnel management, and accurately completing all administrative responsibilities. This position reports to the Branch Manager.
Requirements Include:
- Develops new or additional sales in an effort to reach Sales growth goal
- Assist manager in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing personnel in all aspects of branch operations
- Assists Branch Manager in managing and protecting Company assets.
- Assumes complete responsibility of the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager, or other branches that are assigned.
- Knowledge of Heating and Cooling systems (matrix). Knowledge of Basic Accounting including, but not limited to, General Ledgers, Profit/Loss Statements, and budgeting.
- Ability to communicate to a variety of people in different situations, always maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of all equipment, parts, and supplies offered by the Company. Ability to cross-reference parts between suppliers.
- Ability to read catalogs, pricing and specification sheets, and computer printouts in order to make accurate recommendations on customer purchases.
- Complete and thorough understanding of local competitors
- Assures the duties of other branch personnel are completed and accurate
Work Environment:
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where frequent interruptions may occur. Requires frequent bending, climbing, movement, and lifting during physical loading/unloading of trucks and when stocking products. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The work schedule is typically Monday through Friday and some Saturday. This is a safety sensitive position.
