Service Express Heating & Air Conditioning

We have been servicing and installing heating and air conditioning equipment in the Chicago metropolitan area for over 56 years. We install all types of HVAC equipment including Unico and Spacepak high velocity systems, cast iron and high efficency boilers, conventional ac and heat pumps as well as packaged rooftop units. We work in both commercial and residential spaces. We are looking to add a highly motivated, proessional installer to our team.

Job DescriptionJob Title: HVAC Installer

Job Type: Full TimePay: $30.00 - $40.00/hour BOE, plus overtime pay
Expected Hours: 40 – 50 hours per week Monday-Friday and some Saturdays during peak season

Reports To: Install Manager

Key Responsibilities

Expert Installation: Install heating and air conditioning systems, ensuring they operate flawlessly before concluding each job.
Quality Assurance: Oversee and verify the quality of work when working with a helper.
Effective Communication: Communicate warehouse staff and management to ensure seamless operations and timely project completion.
Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of each job, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Inventory Management: Maintain truck stock, recording materials used from truck stock.

Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in the installation of various heating and air conditioning equipment, including hydronic systems is required.
Licensing: Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Certification: EPA Type II certification required for handling refrigerants.
Vehicle Management: Ability to safely operate and park a company-provided vehicle securely at your residence.
Physical Requirements: Capable of working in attics, crawl spaces, and on ladders and balconies, as well as lifting at least 50 lbs. Must be able to work effectively in a variety of weather conditions, including unpredictable and challenging environments.
Professional Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers.
