Sheet metal foreman responsible for supervising the field and subcontractor workers, and is directly responsible for field installation activities in a specifically assigned area.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete take off of entire project, 100%.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders as needed for area of supervision.
- Train new workers and apprentices
- Inspect work – in – progress and completed work to ensure conformance to contracts, documents, plans, specifications and drawings, and applicable state and local code requirements.
- Review with the superintendent and project management the job schedule and shipping dates, job cost spreadsheets, manpower and crew costs.
- Keep the job site organized and clean to ensure better production, to eliminate re-orders, lost manpower and lost materials.
- Input time cards daily – check to make sure the correct name, date, job number, phase code, actual work hours and lunch recorded.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Craft or Trade School
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Trade knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills
- Team player
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Self - motivated
- Detail oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Proficient in BlueBeam or other PDF editors
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to read and analyze schematics and design plans
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $48.00 per hour
