Job Overview:
Established local HVAC company based in St. Rose is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join the team. The ideal candidate will be an independent contributor responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a diverse client base in and around the New Orleans metro area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Install new HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings according to company guidelines and in compliance with local codes.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Repair: Diagnose and repair issues with HVAC systems, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate clearly and effectively with customers to explain issues, provide recommendations, and offer solutions.
- Administration: Maintain accurate records of all service calls in HouseCall Pro, including work performed and materials used.
- Emergency Services: Provide emergency repair services as needed, which may include after-hours and weekend work.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification or associate degree in HVAC technology a plus.
- 5+ years of experience as an HVAC technician.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at various heights.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and components, including Commercial VRF & Residential Ductless.
- Basic math proficiency, and the ability to correctly read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Self-sufficient, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
This is a full-time, contract position with room for growth. 8+ hour shifts with overtime as needed; base schedule of 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday - Friday, weekends as needed.
