Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and recommends short- and long-range objectives consistent with company goals
- Manufacturing oversight- Identifies customer specifications and flow-down requirements and communicates throughout the manufacturing process
- Processing parts through the shop
- Oversees successful completion of all jobs in a machine shop by identifying requirements, communicating to proper personnel, and ensuring compliance throughout the entire manufacturing cycle
- Ensures productive utilization of resources including material, labor-hours, and machine time
- Oversees and manages personnel, including manufacturing
- Implements and oversees a growth management strategy to meet increased customer demand
- Responsible for developing operational plans to expand capacity and associated resources, including labor, machines, and performance metrics
- Lead sales efforts by seeking and evaluating potential customer relationships, alliances and vendors
- Develop strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business
Recommended qualified candidate requirements:
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.)
- Ability to read measuring devices and have basic math skills of addition & subtraction.
- Set up, program, and operate one or more computerized or manual machines
- Responsible for troubleshooting and rectifying problems that may occur on the CNC machines
- Knowledge of CNC machines
- Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions
- Ability to work in a variety of roles
- Able to work overtime as needed
Minimum qualified candidate requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- High level of technical aptitude
- US Person or US Citizenship required
Physical Demands
- Periods of standing and walking
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
Work Environment:
- Office
- Climate controlled warehouse where employees who reports to this position may be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures, heights, and loud machinery or equipment. Also may be exposed to hazardous chemicals.
