HVAC Installer Position for J & J Air

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The HVAC Installer will ensure that all systems are installed correctly and function efficiently to meet customer satisfaction.

Duties

- Install HVAC systems according to manufacturer specifications and local codes.

- Build comfort systems by installing air handlers, condensing units, package equipment, duct work, refrigerant tubing, and complete high and low voltage power connections.

- Perform system start-up and commissioning, including verifying refrigerant charge, cfm settings and temperature difference.

- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems, providing effective solutions.

- Collaborate with other team members to complete installations in a timely manner.

- Maintain accurate records and service orders of work performed and materials used.

- Keep tools and company vehicle maintained by following operating instructions.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all installations and repairs.

- Communicate effectively with clients regarding system operation and maintenance requirements.

Experience

- Proven experience in HVAC installation is preferred.

- Familiarity with mechanics, appliance repair, field service, property maintenance, welding, or boiler systems is advantageous.

- Strong understanding of HVAC/R principles and practices.

- Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and effectively.

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for van driving duties.
