Performance Power Systems has been in business for over 29 years and has experienced steady growth over this time. We are currently seeking a Marine Generator / Electrical Technician in Stuart, FL. Marine Generator and Electrical Technicians familiar with marine engines and generators should apply. Applicants should have troubleshooting and diagnostics experience as well as service and repair experience. Experience in load bank testing, megger testing, AC power generation, diagnostic software, testing / adjusting voltage regulators, and load sharing/paralleling systems is preferred. Valid Passport is a requirement. Successful applicants will pass pre-employment background checks. Job Responsibilities: Assists Marine Diesel Technicians with troubleshooting & repair of marine diesel engines and other marine-related equipment as required. Performs diagnostic troubleshooting, testing & repairs on generators and electrical systems on vessel-related equipment. Complies with all company policies and procedures. Maintains proper job related documentation & completes paperwork in a timely manner. Provide excellent customer service to all marine engine generator customers & representatives while working onboard vessels and performing field service duties. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of field service experience with DC/AC electrical systems. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to read and interpret specific documentation such as technical manuals, electrical schematics, etc. Knowledge of generator maintenance & repair procedures and ability to troubleshoot & diagnose to determine causes of operating errors, faults and failures. Knowledge and experience in selecting and using appropriate tools and equipment to complete the required task safely and efficiently.
