As an Apprentice Sprinkler Fitter, you will assist experienced fitters with various tasks, gain hands-on experience, and develop skills necessary for a successful career in sprinkler fitting.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist Fitters: Help with labor tasks such as bringing materials to fitters, laying out sprinkler piping, and unloading/loading trucks.
- Learning: Learn how to read blueprints and follow verbal instructions from experienced team members.
- Labor Work: Perform physical tasks including lifting materials (up to 80 lbs) and working at high heights (up to 60+ ft).
- Adaptability: Take direction and adapt to various tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable vehicle for transportation to and from job sites.
- Ability to read and write.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items (up to 80 lbs), climb ladders, and work at high heights.
- Preferred Attributes:
- High School Graduate.
- 1+ years of construction work experience.
- 1+ years of fire protection trade experience.
- Relevant in-trade certifications.
- Man lift certifications.
