We are currently hiring for a Full Time Apartment Maintenance Technician for an affordable housing community.
We are looking for someone who can find problems and offer solutions, someone who is committed to making a difference and up for a challenging community, Someone who has experience working with Homeless populations, new building systems and understands the challenges with Permanent Supportive Housing communities.
We are looking for applicants with the following skills:
- Apartment Maintenance Repair Experience
- Experience Turning Vacant Units
- Appliance Repair Experience
- HVAC Repair Experience
- Plumbing and Electrical repair experience
- Knowledge of Apartment Building Systems
- Ability to Work as a Team and Meet Deadlines
- Ability to Follow Company Policies and Procedures
- Ability to Communicate Problems and Offer Solutions
- Ability to set priorities and complete assigned tasks
- Experience with 3rd party Agency Inspections: TAX CREDIT, Housing Authority, etc.
Daily Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Completing Work Orders Efficiently
- Maintaining the Property Curb Appeal daily
- Turning Vacant Units per procedure
- Appliance, HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing Repairs
- Drywall & Painting Repairs
- Conducting Unit Inspections
- Working as a Team
- Preparing for Inspections
- Offering Excellent Customer Service
- Following all company policies & procedures, fair housing laws, etc.
- Ability to respond to After-Hours maintenance emergencies
- Picking Up Trash around the property, cleaning out trash enclosures and chutes
- Other duties assigned by the Supervisor
Compensation Details:
- Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Hourly Pay Rate - based on experience and budget ($25 per hour)
